Beef Empanada is a stuffed pastry or piece of bread stuffed with a mixture of beef and other delicious ingredients. You may add sweet peas and bell pepper. In this video, I did not add pepper or salt because I find the beef cube salty enough. There are so many versions of empanada. Try it for your next baking adventure and let me know what you think. For the Crust:
Makes: 12 empanada pastry discs
250g plain flour, sifted
50g butter, chilled and cubed
1 egg
90ml warm water
1 teaspoon salt

For the Meat Filling
1 tablespoon oil
1 small onion, peeled and chopped
½ pound ground beef
1 small potato, peeled and diced
1 carrot, peeled and diced
¼ cup raisins
salt and pepper to taste
