Neapolitan Swirl Cake – Tasty Food
2 cups white flour
2 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
¾ cup + 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs
1 cup warm milk
4 Tbsp cocoa powder
½ cup strawberries, crushed
Pink food coloring
2 cups powdered sugar
4 Tbsp strawberry juice
How You Make It:
1- Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and set aside.
2- Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in vanilla extract. Beat in eggs one at a time.
3- Gradually add the flour mixture, then add the warm milk. Beat only until mixed. Divide the batter into 3 parts.
4- Add the cocoa powder to one part.
5- To the second part, add the crushed strawberries and several drops of pink food coloring.
6- In a greased and floured Bundt cake pan, add large spoonfuls of the 3 separate cake batters, alternating the colors. Gently swirl a spoon around the center to lightly mix the 3 batters.
7- Bake in preheated oven at 350ºF for approximately 30 minutes.
8- Mix the powdered sugar with strawberry juice until it becomes a syrup, drizzle over the cake and serve.
